Bass Roundup and Kid Fish

Bass Roundup is a professional fishing tournament organized by the Big Sandy Creek Bass Club that gives hourly prizes for the biggest bass fish. This exciting event takes place in November at Emma Long City Park, and 60% of the proceeds are given to The Arc’s programs and services.
Kidfish is a free event for children with disabilities and their families. Each child is paired with a professional fisherman such as Jimmy Houston, who teaches fishing basics and information about area lakes. A few new additions to Kid Fish are carnival games such as a cake walk, face painting, and throwing contests thanks to our wonderful University of Texas Volunteers.
