“Building Bridges” Art Celebration and Auction
“Building Bridges” is The Arc of the Capital Area’s signature fundraising event, held annually in October. The event showcases and auctions artwork created by people with disabilities, as well as by local artists who generously donate their pieces. Live music, fine cuisine and spirits, and spectacular auction packages from Austin-area businesses, also make up this unique fundraiser.

The Arc of the Capital Area Golf Classic
Our annual golf tourney is held at The Hills Country Club, Flintrock Falls course, each Spring. Participants in teams of four play 18 holes while enjoying various games, lunch, and an awards reception. All proceeds from the event benefit The Arc’s programs and services.

Bass Roundup and Kidfish
Bass Roundup is a professional fishing tournament organized by the Big Sandy Creek Bass Club that gives hourly prizes for the biggest bass caught. This exciting event takes place in November at Emma Long City Park, and sixty percent of the proceeds are given to The Arc’s programs and services.
Kidfish is a free event for children with disabilities and their families. Each child is paired with a professional fisherman such as Jimmy Houston, who teaches fishing basics. A few new additions to Kid Fish are carnival games such as a cake walk, face painting, and throwing contests thanks to our wonderful University of Texas Volunteers.
