Academic Coaching
When: Flexible time and date. Meet once a week with your match!
Volunteer Need: Tutor a child/teenager who has a developmental/cognitive disability. Academic Coaches assist clients with their homework and help them succeed in school. Meeting times are flexible!
Arc of the Arts- Art Program
When: Every Wed. - Sat.
9:30 am - 2 pm
Where: Arc of the Arts, 6717 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78757
Volunteer Need: The Arc of the Capital Area offers art classes to adults and youth with special needs. Use your talents to help clients create collaborative pieces for the art gallery. In the past, students have painted, made jewelry and sewed quilts. All talents are welcome!
Arc of the Arts- Music Program
When: Every Tues.

Volunteer Need: The Arc of the Arts Music Program wants to bring the wealth of music knowledge in Austin to our clients. We are looking for musicians to teach clients about music, instruments, and movement.
Coop (childcare)
When: The 2nd Tues. of the month. Upcoming dates: Feb. 9, March 9, April 13
6:15 pm - 8:45 pm
Where: Rosedale School, 2117 West 49th Street, Austin TX 78756
Volunteer Need: Provide childcare while parents are in family support cooperative classes to get more information on issues that effect children with developmental disabilities.
Office Assistance
When: Anytime Mon. - Fri.

Volunteer Need: Volunteering in our office helps ensure that The Arc's resources can be dedicated to serving our clients and their families.
Respite (childcare)
When: The second Saturday of the month. Upcoming dates: Feb. 13, March 13, April 10
10 am - 2 pm with a 1-hour training session from 9 am - 10 am for first time volunteers
